Publication Date: 14 May 2013

Hosted by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, the three-day event has attracted 800 delegates from across the financial services industry that include Temenos’ customers, partners, employees, investors, and key industry experts.

The 15th edition of the forum is themed “Customer Success in a Multi-Speed World” and covers engaging topics such as societal and cultural trends within the financial services industry, broadening banking participation levels, and the future of retail banking. The edition also focuses on the divergent outlook of varied banking segments and markets, the evolving pace of technological renewal cycles and the strong portfolio of Temenos in meeting the diverse needs of its broad customer base.

Temenos Group is a leading banking software system vendor that offers state-of-the-art and cost-effective banking software systems to retail, corporate, universal, private, Islamic, microfinance and community banks, wealth managers and financial institutions. The Group is listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange and has 59 offices worldwide.

As part of the event’s agenda, Temenos is set to launch new products and solutions to help banks capitalise on the multi-speed world.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Chief Commercial Officer at ADNEC, said: “It gives us great pleasure to host this signature forum for the first time in the Middle East. This event demonstrates ADNEC’s capabilities to host and deliver corporate meetings and forums in a leading venue that offers world class facilities. With the support of Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau, we aim to attract further high-end events to the emirate and contribute to positioning it as major player in the MICE sector.”

Al Dhaheri added: “TCF’s perspectives on innovative solutions, techniques and insight on latest trends in the industry are highly incisive and valuable. We appreciate their presence and participation. TCF will set new benchmarks in meeting international standards at all levels through embracing and adopting latest technologies and mechanisms.”

TCF serves as networking platform that promotes knowledge transfer amongst local, regional and international industry experts. The platform not only contributes to building a sustainable business economy in the emirate, but also integrates it with global economies. Some of the prominent guest speakers at the TCF include Stephen Prentice, Vice President and Gartner Research Fellow, Dr Jennifer Riria, CEO of Kenya Women Finance Trust, Jonathan Rosenthal, Banking Editor of The Economist, Tim Walker, Consulting Partner at Deloitte, Stephan Fanenbruck, CIO of Nordea Bank.SA, and Peter Koen, Director of Business Evangelism at Microsoft.

David Arnott, CEO of Temenos, said: “The financial services industry is at a turning point. It is facing an almost perfect storm of new regulation, disruptive technology, more intense competition and a less loyal customer base. To restore profitability and ensure it remains relevant in the multi-speed world, the industry needs to embrace technological renewal. Temenos continues to out-spend its peers on R&D to ensure that we have the right solutions to make our customers successful, that we deliver that value quickly through progressive renovation and shorter implementations, and that we continue to deliver and maximise value post-go live.”
