ADNEC Launches Innovation Lab to Promote Creativity, Innovation in Business Tourism

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, officially inaugurated the Innovation Lab at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) as part of sustained efforts to instill a workplace culture based on creativity and innovation.

Dedicated and accessible to all employees and departments across ADNEC, the Innovation Lab aims to shape a platform for brainstorming and effective decision-making at ADNEC. Through highlighting ADNEC’s services in a creative format, the lab will help employees deliver best-in-class services to ensure superior levels of customer satisfaction.

Her Excellency Noura Mohammad Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, said: “The Innovation Lab at ADNEC will support Abu Dhabi Government’s efforts to build a vibrant knowledge-based economy. It demonstrates ADNEC’s priority to foster a culture of innovation through continuously encouraging new ideas and finding better solutions for our customer needs.”

Al Kaabi added: “At ADNEC, we believe that the right combination of talent, expertise, innovation, and technology can deliver superior results. In addition to serving as a catalyst for the sustainable improvement of our products and services, the innovation lab will respond to the changing trends in the business tourism industry through facilitating greater knowledge sharing and improved collaboration among our employees.”

The key objectives of the Innovation lab include`es stimulating creative thinking, encouraging innovation and creative ideas, creating a platform for brainstorming and effective decision making, identifying solutions and customer satisfaction ideas and demonstrating some of ADNEC’s value-added products inside the lab to its clients.

Additionally, the Innovation Lab will host specialised, interactive sessions and workshops that leverage creative tools to inspire ground-breaking ideas and find solutions for evolving industry challenges.

It will provide ADNEC employees with a refreshed perspective of their work, enabling them to transform their ideas, knowledge and imagination into services and initiatives that meet the changing customer needs.

 

The launch of the lnnovation Lab coincides with the second UAE Innovation Week that was launched last year by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai. Aimed at making innovation a part of communities and held under the slogan ‘Innovation, an everyday activity’, the Innovation Week includes different exhibitions, national initiative launches, competitions, talks and workshops across the country.

ADNEC offers 133,000 square metres of inter-connected floor space to match the expectations of a wide variety of events and exhibitions. Equipped with modern facilities and built to international standards, the venue attracted 1.8 million people across 369 events in 2015.
