ADNEC Gears up to Host Taweya and Najah 2013

Publication Date: 26 Oct 2013

Taweya seeks to promote the culture of making a difference among community members through volunteering and participating in social initiatives organised across the region. In addition to shedding light on the services that Taweya offers, the platform will bring together government and private entities, as well as welfare organisations to highlight their latest innovations and positive interventions in strengthening family unity, social solidarity and community partnership.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Chief Commercial Officer at ADNEC, said: “ADNEC is pleased to host the National Show for Society Awareness and Humanitarian Services for the third consecutive year as it will allow community stakeholders to directly interact with humanitarian organisations, special needs centres, and representatives of charitable causes. This noteworthy event will aspire and positively impact the lives of thousands of people across the region. ”

He added: “At ADNEC, we value initiatives that champion notable causes and resonate with our corporate social responsibility agenda. It is also worth mentioning that ADNEC will be hosting ABILITIESme in April 2014, the first-of-its-kind event in the region that seeks to empower people with disabilities and special needs.”

The seventh annual Najah exhibition, organised under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, is set to attract more than 120 exhibitors.

The three-day expo serves as a unique platform for students to meet recruitment advisors from leading local and international universities, discover scholarship and internship opportunities, as well as gain professional advice from faculty members. Najah also offers potential opportunities for professionals pursuing new career opportunities in government and non-government entities in the region.

Al Dhaheri added: “Education is a key factor in enabling the upcoming generation to succeed amongst the professional workforce. Hosting educational and career fairs of this magnitude will benefit the community as a whole and positively impact our UAE economy. Many educational institutions from across the region in addition to multiple government and private organisations will be present at the expo to provide onsite guidance to students and visitors seeking possible vacancies. Last year, Najah attracted over 18,000 visitors and we anticipate the numbers to exceed this year . ”
